State University where she competed as an NCAA Division I gymnast. The impact and stress of competitive gymnastics, combined with a car accident, led to Liz's interest in Pilates. Seeking relief from chronic pain and injury, Liz began to rehabilitate and understand her body and how it functions. Liz's extensive background and training includes certifications from Core Dynamics with MIchelle Larson, Power Pilates, and Pilates Institute of America. Based on her own experience recovering from chronic injuries, Liz hopes to help educate clients about their bodies and show them that with a little hard work, they can create the body they've always wanted.
"My interest in Pilates began when I hired Karen as a personal trainer at the gym. In my limited knowledge, I thought Pilates and yoga were the same, but soon found out how totally different they really are! Karen inquired about fitness goals and tailored a program that would be challenging and fun. With Karen’s guidance, I learned exercises that not only increased my strength and improved my muscle tone, but as an additional benefit, my posture improved dramatically. As a result, I completed the New York Marathon with less soreness and stiffness. I would recommend Karen to anyone, regardless of their current fitness level, looking for a fun, safe way to improve their overall fitness level."
